The Health Benefits of Low EMF Far Infrared Sauna

If you’re looking to buy your first sauna, a low EMF far infrared sauna is a very good choice. This type of sauna uses far infrared rays (FIR), which are invisible waves of energy capable of penetrating the deeper layers of the human body, including the muscles and bones. It has always been known to enhance the body’s overall functioning since the early times. The sun and even the human body itself are a source of FIR. In ancient China, for instance, these FIRs were passed through the palms from one person to another to promote healing.

Far infrared saunas provide the benefit of deep detoxification and are better at this than traditional saunas. Studies reveal that sweat from traditional sauna use contains just about 3% toxins, whereas that from an infrared sauna session contains around 17% toxins. Aside from detoxification, far infrared sauna use also helps burn calories, provides pain relief, reduces muscle tension, and induces deep sleep, among many other health benefits. Moreover, a 30 minute far infrared sauna session can amplify the benefits of yoga or any other workout.

Many skeptics would warn that far infrared sauna subjects its bather to high electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure, which can cumulatively impact cellular functioning.  Though it’s their nature to emit EMF, high EMF exposure is not necessarily true in all far infrared sauna units. Some companies do install shield to minimize emission whereas others are carefully wired to produce low to zero EMF.
