Detoxification with Infrared Carbon Saunas

Claims that sauna bathing can help in the detoxification process of the body has been investigated and confirmed over the years. Most of these start with the thesis that spending a limited amount of time in a heated room such as an infrared carbon sauna will be able to activate the sweat glands, which then facilitates heavy sweating, ridding the body of chemical and toxic metal in the process.

Everyday Health Dangers

At this day and age, it’s practically impossible to absolutely avoid exposure to certain elements which may prove harmful to the body. Minerals such as lead, iron, copper, mercury, or nickel, among many others, are inevitably used in items for daily use. Whether you like it or not, whether you know it or not, you are exposed to these. While their presence in your body is acceptable up to a certain amount, it’s still important to try to cleanse them from your system as much as possible, because they can wreak havoc on your health.

Studies and Findings

Among the most popular studies involving the efficiency of saunas in detoxifying is the one by the University of Southern California School of Medicine, which involved firemen who had been exposed to PCBs. As an effect of this exposure, they suffered from neurobehavioral impairments. However, upon undergoing a three-week detoxification protocol that had them follow a strict diet, exercise routine, and sauna hours, their PCB levels decreased significantly.

As an equipment that can potentially aid in the improvement of one’s health, therefore, it cannot be denied that saunas, whether it be an infrared carbon model or otherwise, can indeed help improve one’s health. Now the only thing you have to consider is to choose from among the many available types out there that can suit your needs best.
