If this is your first time to try the infrared sauna, here are things you need to do.
Watch Out What You Drink
An infrared sauna will make you sweat a lot. Before going in, drink a full glass of water to prevent dehydration. Never drink alcoholic or sugary beverages, though. Combining it with your sauna session will double the effects of the sauna or the alcohol you just drank, and that will take its toll on your body.
Have a Shower
Taking a quick shower will get rid of any dirt and dry skin you have. Dry brushing is recommended as well so you can maximize the benefits of an infrared sauna. When you dry brush, your circulation tends to increase once you’re already in the sauna.
Set the Sauna at the Right Temperature
What’s great about infrared saunas is that you can gain their benefits at low temperatures. If it is your first time to use one, start at about 125 degrees. Once you get comfortable with this temperature after a number of sessions, you can increase it by about 5 degrees until you reach a temperature that suits your needs.
Remember these three things before trying your first sauna sessions, and you will have a great experience.
