Why an Infrared Sauna Is Good for You

If you are health conscious, you probably heard the wondrous benefits a sauna can provide for your body. Although the science behind saunas seems simple enough to understand, not all saunas are created equal.

Far Infrared vs. Near Infrared

Nowadays, infrared saunas are gaining more traction as they are more comfortable to use and are generally cheaper. Infrared saunas are also easier to maintain than the traditional ones.

There are two popular types of infrared sauna according to wavelength: the near infrared and far infrared saunas. Far infrared saunas usually used ceramic or carbon fiber infrared heaters, while near infrared used inexpensive incandescent lamps as heat source.

Of course, both types have a strong following and will propose that one type is better than the other. The jury is still out on that one, as both types have almost the same health benefits.

Benefits of an infrared sauna

An infrared sauna is more convenient to use than traditional ones. It’s easier to install at home, can generate the right amount of heat at a faster rate, is easier to clean and maintain, and is generally cheaper. Infrared saunas are also more comfortable to use because instead of heating the air like a conventional sauna does, its heat targets the body instead.

Body detoxification using saunas have never been more comfortable and relaxing. Purchasing and installing a unit in your own home is definitely a good investment especially if you like keeping a fit and healthy body.
